Chargeback Management Evaluation

Chargeback Management Evaluation

Engage Today

RPGC’s Chargeback Management Evaluation reviews the effectiveness of your current chargeback processes. Based on patterns identified in your transaction, fraud, and chargeback data, we make recommendations for best practices, visibility, and scenario run-throughs. Our goal is to improve your authentication methods and prevent chargebacks from occurring in the first place, be it via 3rd party or 1st party fraud. We will help you to shape your rulesets, sales practices, data visibility, and chargeback process flow to effectively manage your chargeback volume and improve your “win” ratios.

Our Process:

The chargeback evaluation begins with a Current State Review. During this stage, we review your existing fraud rules, data visibility, and analysis practices. Our process involves an initial two-week period of daily transaction monitoring via your processor and any dashboard functions you may already be using.  We do this to make sure your company is getting the necessary data from your providers to effectively respond to chargebacks. After this intake process, we then begin our analysis on three months (minimum required) of chargebacks received. We conduct this analysis using your reports, conducting interviews, and interacting directly with key vendors. By going through this process, we can identify the major reasons for your chargebacks and whether your “win” ratios are within industry standards. We will deliver our Findings & Recommendations with best practices to maximize visibility, our recommendations on internal rules to build, and mapped processes where they didn’t exist prior.

Deliverables:

We provide you with a Findings and Recommendation document, which we review with you in a 60-90 minute webinar.

Our Findings and Recommendations Include:

  • The current state of your chargeback environment and improvement recommendations to implement, including rules to add, change or delete.
  • Recommendations to improve analysis practices and data visibility.
  • Recommended chargeback process flow alterations.
  • Recommendations to address friendly fraud and true fraud.
  • Recommended changes you can make to your sales practices to reduce chargebacks (when necessary).

Additionally, this service can also include digital personnel training reviewing best practices, in case management and data visibility, plus scenario run-throughs. Our digital training is focused on meeting Card Network compliance thresholds.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY ABOUT US

Among the few people in the industry (consultant or otherwise) who is able to think in a big-picture, strategic fashion as well as understand the daily nitty-gritty behind-the-scenes detail of how payments flow and how payment systems work, how they should be properly configured for best results, and how they can go wrong.
